Your School from the Air

What does your school look like from the air?

How could pupils use still images and videos taken from a quadcopter (drone) flying over the school grounds?

Here are some ideas:

mapping

maths - scale drawing

perspective and art

abstract images

story telling

Maiden Castle

We can come into your school for a half day or a whole day.

We will demonstrate to pupils and staff, fly the drone over your school, and take images and videos.

We will then process these on site and run a workshop with pupils and staff to create presentations and teaching resources for the school.

The activities can include creating presentations, video editing and creating e-books.

How much does it cost?

The cost for demonstrating and running the workshops is:

Half day - £150

Whole Day - £250

There is a discount for schools that use the Lexicon Lifeline technical support service.

There is no additional charge for flying the drone and the resources created will be yours to keep.

Unit 3, 78 Blandford Road, Corfe Mullen, Wimborne, Dorset, BH21 3HQ Telephone: 01202 657252 Fax: 01202 657771 email: office@lexlearn.co.uk

We have a website where you can see examples for Skyview: www.farmingskyview.co.uk where you can see some of the images and videos in the gallery.

Flying the drone is dependent on the location of the school, and weather. If your school is in a very built up area it may not be possible to fly and if the weather is too inclement (windy, rainy etc) that may also make flying impossible.
