Do you need help with teaching Computing?

There are 3 main strands to the Computing Curriculum.

Computer Science

Information Technology

Digital Literacy

Most schools will be confident about delivering the IT aspects of the curriculum although it should be noted that in the new curriculum there is a strong emphasis on creativity.

Digital Literacy is not new but has a stronger emphasis in the new curriculum. It is more than just teaching the skills required - it also involves giving children an understanding of the internet and the world wide web so they can operate effectively in a digital world - and most importantly that they remain safe.

Computer Science is far more challenging. It does involve programming ("repeated practical experience of writing computer programs") but there is a lot more to it. Children need to be introduced to computational thinking and logical reasoning through a variety of activities - many of which do not need a computer.

We have put together a comprehensive programme of in-school training courses to meet every need. If the course you require is not listed then please contact us and we will be happy to design a training programme to meet your needs.

We are happy to come to your school to discuss your requirements without charge.
